Ken & Viktoria Richardson
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

We know that Philadelphia was important in history. Now we Baptists are trying to make Christian history in the city by taking the Gospel there. For years Baptists have sent missionaries and volunteer teams to plant new churches all over the city. Our church is a part of this long-term effort through our Cooperative Program giving.

Let's pray for two of our missionaries we’re helping support in Philadelphia - Ken and Viktoria Richardson. They have planted Neighborhood Church in the Wilson Park area, a low-income community with many problems. Ken and Viktoria make friends with people in their neighborhood and share the Gospel. They also meet physical needs people have.

A woman named Nichelle and her son, Darius, lost just about everything they had when their home burned. They were not part of the church. But Ken and Viktoria visited and helped them recover. Soon Nichelle and her son were attending Neighborhood Church. Nichelle says before the fire she did not understand the Bible or having a relationship with God. But now she says, "I am thankful to not only have a relationship with God, but to fellowship with people who genuinely love and care for others." Nichelle is training to be part of the church's leadership team.

Let's pray for Ken and Viktoria and their ministry in the Wilson Park area of Philadelphia. Through the power of Christ, they're helping people like Nichelle change their personal history forever.
